My priority — and my recommendation — is always to choose the right stone first. A diamond is a geological rarity; a setting can always be changed, upgraded or remade later. When you visit, I will present a selection of certified natural diamonds (GIA, HRD or IGI) matching your criteria. You can examine them under a loupe, compare them side by side, and take your time without any pressure.
Good news if you are visiting from outside the EU. Non-EU residents are eligible for a French VAT refund (détaxe) on purchases of €100 or more. The effective refund on a diamond purchase typically represents 12 to 17% of the total price — a significant saving. I will guide you through the paperwork, which is straightforward and processed at the airport before departure.
